Commerical

PSAs: You created Public Service announcements last week and this week we will begin to watch them.
Remember to use good audience behavior and we will critique as a group.

We will begin today by watching some clips from the MERCHANTS OF COOL>
Commercial creation:
What is your product?
What does it/you claim?
Why should someone purchase it?

Remember* you are creating a product, and demonstrating why someone may want (NEED) it. Remember to include a closeup of JUST the product for the end of the commercial. Keep all commercials limited to 30 seconds.

Commercial

Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position.

  • television advertisement or television commercial–often just commercial or TV ad (US), or advert, commercial, advertisement or simply just ad (UK/US), or ad-film (India)–is a span of television programming produced and paid for by an organization that conveys a message.
  • The USA's first television advertisement was broadcast July 1, 1941. The watchmaker Bulova paid $9 for a placement on New York station WNBT before a baseball game between theBrooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies. The 20-second spot displayed a picture of a clock superimposed on a map of the United States, accompanied by the voice-over "America runs on Bulova time."
